About Endeavour Online
Endeavour FM began in Summer 2006, started by Blackfriars Arts Centre under the name Stump Radio. The first broadcast was a 28 day Restricted Service License (RSL).
We then returned in 2007 around the same time for another 28 day broadcast. Summer 2008 saw us return for our 3rd broadcast this time from our new studio at The Haven Gallery. For the first time we broadcasted over the festive period 2008/2009 under the new name Endeavour FM, again in a brand new location at the Boston Enterprise Centre where we have stayed, occasionally moving offices to suit our needs. Full time internet broadcasting commenced on the 28th of March 2009 under the name Endeavour Online.
August the 1st 2009 sees us return once again as the community focused station Endeavour FM.
In between our FM broadcasts, we're pumping out on the online airwaves as Endeavour Online throughout the year.
Where are you and how can I tune in??
Well, if you hadn't guessed already, we're based in Boston, Lincolnshire - made famous by the local landmark 'The Stump' (St. Botolph's Church).
We're broadcasting 24 hours a day from the Boston Enterprise Centre when we're on FM, and through the evenings as Endeavour Online. We're working on being able to play music when we're not broadcasting live, so you'll always have a great mix of music just a few clicks away!
If you're in or around Boston you can listen to us on 87.7FM between July 3rd 2010 and July 30th 2010.
We're also broadcasting online via our website, available worldwide.
So, if you're holidaying in Cornwall, and don't want to miss Boston's favourite station, then get onto the website!
The music we play:
Being a community station, we aim to play a wide range of music to cater for everyone's taste.
Our daytime/early evening shows are primarily new/chart music including some older middle of the road tracks, whilst our late evening shows play host to our specialist music.
We have a number of DJs with varying music backgrounds including Rock, Country and Soul. Either way, there's bound to be something on that you will enjoy!
Local & National News & Sport:
When we're on FM, every hour, we link up with IRN News who provide our national news bulletins. Weather reports from the BBC website then follow these bulletins and Traffic and Travel updates come from the Boston Traffic Cameras.
We'll hopefully be bringing this to the Endeavour Online Venture
